Non-Allowable Items You Should Never Pack While Moving
When moving with Hills Movers, you need to know that you cannot load everything on the moving truck especially if you are moving interstate.
Unless your move is less than 200 miles and your items will be shipped in less than 24 hours, we do not move perishable items such as refrigerated or frozen foods, and half-used or open food containers. Please note that you need to ensure that these items are packed well before transit since exceptions are made at owner’s discretion.
For the safety of our fleet, staff, you, your loved ones, goods on transit, and other road users, we do not under any circumstances transport items such as toxic chemicals, flammable gases, and explosives.
When you choose to work with us, please make sure you separate all the non-allowable items from the rest of your belongings. Most of these items are often found in your garage, compound, while others are located in your common cleaning supplies. In case you are not sure whether a particular item is allowed or not, please reach out to a move coordinator we shall assign to you for more clarification.
Such items are a potential hazard to you, your loved ones, and the environment and should be well disposed to comply with the federal, state, and local laws.
